International Listener:
Not a club, per se, but a web site by Ed Mayberry, International Listener features links to shortwave radio stations around the world, and launches webcasts and on-demand radio programs so that you can hear these broadcasts through your computer. First appearing in magazine form in the 1970's, International Listener was published as a monthly 40-page program guide for English-language broadcasts. That magazine became a web site on January 22nd, 1999. There's a new edition of the International ListenerShortwave News each month--a roundup of items gleaned from radio station web sites and shortwave news sources from around the world.

Ontario DX Association:
The Ontario DX Association (ODXA) is a club for radio listeners. Monthly meetings, held in Don Mills, Ontario, provide a steady stream of interesting speakers on the listening hobby. Listening In is the monthly publication of the ODXA. It covers the shortwave and mediumwave (AM) scenes with a number of regular columns that include items of interest to FM, TV, scanning, Ham and Utility listeners and DXers. From Ed (KC2AYC) : The Long Island Monitoring Association went belly up, mainly because the 146.805 repeater has problems for over 2 years now at the antenna site and it killed the net.

The group has now splintered off in to two active e-mail reflectors, ScanCom http://groups.yahoo.com/group/ScanCom and the Uniden-bc780 Users Group http://groups.yahoo.com/group/Uniden-bc780. We also still hold monthly gatherings on the 3rd Thursday of the month at Fudruckers Restarant on Merrick Avenue in Westbury, Long Island.
